Anne Nguyen, Liberty Global MD, appointed WICT UK & Ireland Chapter President

WICT UK and Ireland is delighted to welcome Liberty Global leader, Anne Nguyen, to the role of President of the award-winning Chapter.

Anne is Managing Director of Corporate Strategy at Liberty Global, responsible for developing strategies related to connectivity, video, AI and future trends. She was previous Managing Director and Partner at Boston Consulting Group in TMT and Digital Advertising, with further experience working with digital native companies in the publishing and automative space.

Anne has been a longtime champion of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) and fostering career development through various causes at Liberty Global – and beyond. She has played a hands-on role speaking at WICT UK and Ireland panel events, coached entrepreneurs in a REACH (Race Ethnicity and Cultural Harmony) Black History Month initiative nurturing Black-owned businesses, and, for years, has acted as Executive Mentor to participants of Fast Forward, a growth programme created to develop emerging leaders across the Liberty Global family.

Anne said: “It’s an honour to be appointed President of WICT UK and Ireland, continuing its mission to inspire, connect, and grow talent across the cable, telecom, media and broadcast sectors. Nurturing this community grounded in mentorship, inclusion and bold thinking isn’t just a passion, it’s a necessity for driving innovation and fostering the next generation of leaders across our rapidly evolving industries.”

“I’m excited to build on the Chapter’s incredible momentum, driving meaningful change, championing talent and empowering women to thrive in their careers.”

Anne joined the WICT UK & Ireland Board in March 2025. She is joined by new Chapter Vice-President, Iulia Furdean, who is Vice President of Capital Allocation at Liberty Global.

Anne and Iulia take the helm of the chapter from Madalina Suceveanu and Alex Reichl – both of Liberty Global’s Mobile and Cloud team. Alex is stepping into the role of Memberships Co-Chair whilst Madalina has joined the WICT Global Advisory Board.

Under their leadership, WICT UK and Ireland received several WICT Network Chapter awards, including Innovation and Excellence (2024), Inspire (2024), and Most Improved (2023). Madalina was recently recognised as Chapter President of the Year at the annual event, which celebrates the achievements of WICT Chapters worldwide across leadership, programming, communications, membership and governance.

Madalina said: “It has been a privilege to work with my wonderful board, our sponsors, and WICT champions. Our achievements over the past two years are a reflection of our incredible teamwork, passion, and dedication. This is an experience I’ll take forward with immense gratitude, knowing that WICT UK & Ireland will continue to grow and thrive under Anne’s leadership.”
